ResponsibilitiesThe Rehab Aide II for the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program primary function is to assist the UCLA Ornish Lifestyle Medicine Program in all aspects of the program, as directed. This includes assisting the Exercise Physiologist in administering the exercise program, assisting the Dietitian with meal delivery, etc, assisting the Group Support Specialist as needed, and assisting the Stress Management Specialist, as needed. Duties may include set up and clean-up of area, retrievement of supplies, communication with other parties, etc. The Rehab Aide II is also responsible for checking in program participants, entering billing, and entering / maintaining other data, as directed. When needed, the Rehab Aide II can serve to support the staff of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab in administering the exercise portion of the programs. QualificationsEducation Working towards a degree in Kinesiology or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related field preferred. Certifications CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Training One year's internship or work experience instructing group exercise classes involving cardiorespiratory, resistance and flexibility exercises. Completed Adult Exercise Prescription and basic Exercise Physiology courses. Special Skills Must have ability to take blood pressure at rest and during exercise.
