As a PRN MLT/MT, you will:
Perform routine, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing on blood and body fluid specimens
Ensure accurate and reliable results through strict adherence to quality control protocols
Conduct instrument function checks and preventative maintenance per department standards
Maintain required records and statistical data in compliance with regulatory standards
Assist in training new employees and students on laboratory procedures
Collect chain-of-custody urine drug screens as required
Work with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and accuracy
Competetive Shift Differential:
Earn more for working select shifts (must work at least 4 hours into shift to qualify):
Monday – Thursday
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM → +$3.50/hr
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM → +$3.75/hr
Friday – Sunday
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM → +$6.00/hr
Saturday – Sunday
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM → +$4.00/hr
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM → +$5.50/hr

PRN Status Clause:
This is an as-needed (PRN) position designed for flexibility:
Must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly
Additional hours may be required based on departmental needs
Schedule may vary (increase or decrease) depending on unit demands

Additional Job Description
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field
OR
Equivalent combination of education and laboratory experience totaling at least 2 years
Licensure/Certifications:
MT (ASCP) or equivalent required
MLT (ASCP) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
