Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.   FLSA Status Nonexempt Job Role Summary Eskenazi Health is seeking a Mental Health Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in serving the inpatient mental health population. This role focuses on supporting individuals experiencing acute and chronic mental health challenges as they work toward stabilization, recovery, and community reintegration. The OT will play a key role in promoting independence, resilience, and meaningful engagement in daily life through behavioral health assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including both group and individual treatment sessions. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with an interdisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and peer support specialists on discharge planning, documentation of patient progress, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed environment that promotes meaningful engagement and long-term recovery.  Job Requirements - Active Indiana Occupational Therapist license  - Current BLS certification  - Previous experience in mental health occupational therapy is preferred.      Accredited by The Joint Commission and named one of the nation’s 150 best places to work by Becker’s Hospital Review for four consecutive years and Forbes list of best places to work for women, and Forbes list of America’s best midsize employers’ Eskenazi Health’s programs have received national recognition while also offering new health care opportunities to the local community.
