Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.   #AH   FLSA Status Non-Exempt CST Summary:   The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - PRN is an experienced CST with specialized education who functions as a member of the operating room team to help ensure safe, efficient, and successful surgical procedures/outcomes.  The CST handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures; has an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon; has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative phase; and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.    Job Requirements: 2 years minimum current CST experience Current CST certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or has completed a military surgical technology program. Those with military training  (i.e. “Operating Room Specialist” certification) must obtain their CST certification through the NBSTSA within three months of their start date.   CSTs must complete 60 hours of approved continuing education in a 4-year timeframe with 15 CEUs turned into education every year Current BLS certification  Member of professional organization (AST) preferred   Scheduling: Days and Weekends available 2 shifts minimum per pay period Call requirements- 30 minute call back time   Questions: If you have any questions, please feel free to email Amy.Robertson@eskenazihealth.edu About Us:   Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County.
