Description

The Sterile Processing Educator will be responsible for developing and delivering education programs, training sterile processing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires hands-on experience as a sterile processing technician, a deep understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control practices, and the ability to effectively communicate and educate others.

Required qualifications:

  • Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Or
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
  • 5 years Hands-on sterile processing/Instrument tracking experience.
  • 3 years Related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare or related field.
  • Upon hire: Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
  • Upon hire: Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • Upon hire: Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
  • Upon hire: Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • 6 years Education can be replaced with 6 years of sterile processing educator/leadership experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
