From grossing complex surgical specimens to training Pathologists’ Assistant students, your expertise will help drive excellence in the lab every day.
In this role, your primary responsibilities include:
• Perform dissection, description, and histologic sampling of a full range of surgical specimens
• Conduct specimen photography and radiography
• Perform frozen sections and other intraoperative consultations
• Procure tissue for tumor banking and research studies
• Identify, investigate, and resolve problems related to surgical pathology
• Assist with accessioning and specimen labeling
• Support the orientation and training of residents, fellows, new staff, and Pathologists’ Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and procedures

Salary Range: $95,400.00 - $208,300.00/year
• PA (ASCP) certified or must pass PA (ASCP) exam within 12 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be able to work the occasional Saturday.
• Must have the flexibility to work at both the Westwood and Santa Monica locations.
• 2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferred.
