Department Employee Pharmacy Job Summary The Community Pharmacy Technician II supports all aspects of the prescription preparation process including compounding, preparation, and dispensing. This also includes greeting the patient, collecting information, entering patient data, processing claims, and referring inquires that are out of the scope of the PDT’s license to a supervising pharmacist. The Community Pharmacy Technician II assists in maintaining pharmaceutical inventory and supplies through ordering, receiving, stocking and record keeping. Community Pharmacy technicians work under the direction supervision of registered pharmacists. Pharmacy technicians do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Department Pharmacy Job Summary The CPS – LTC/Consultant Pharm Serv (Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Long Term Care/Consultant Pharmacy Services), provides comprehensive medication management services to residents at Sarasota Memorial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (SMNRC) and consultant services to various other off-campus SMHCS Institutional Class III permit locations as assigned. Collaborates with Sarasota Memorial Health Care System leadership in the development, planning, implementation, and operation of consultant pharmacist services, advising on state and federal laws and regulations, including those unique to the SMNRC patient population.
