MUSC Health is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join our growing and innovative healthcare team. This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible role where your expertise will directly influence patient safety, clinical practice, and quality outcomes across the organization.
This isn't just about monitoring infection data—you'll be partnering with physicians, collaborating with clinical teams, educating staff, investigating concerns, and serving as a trusted resource when infection prevention issues arise.
As our Infection Preventionist, you will help lead efforts to prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and strengthen a culture of safety throughout the medical center.
You'll have the opportunity to:
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for activities designed to prevent and reduce healthcare-associated infections and limit the transmission of infectious organisms.
In this role, you will systematically collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate infection prevention data to help plan, implement, and evaluate effective practices.
You will also serve as a consultant and resource for employees throughout the organization, collaborate with healthcare professionals both inside and outside the facility, and develop and implement infection prevention education.
Additional Job Description
Education:
Degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field/experience required.
