Direct Coordination of Respiratory Care Educational Services
Monday- Friday 8-5p

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and maintains educational programs for respiratory care staff, and patients.
2. Acts as affiliate faculty member for schools of respiratory care and cardiopulmonary sciences.
3. Assesses and measures educational programs for best outcome, efficacy, and competency.
4. Serves as liaison between Respiratory Care Services and other departments in education and clinical issues.
5. Oversees the orientation scheduling process and ensures continuity of care.
6. Provides infection control and safety training as part of the educational programs for staff and monitors compliance.
7. Facilitates learning and cooperation among staff members.
8. Assists the department leadership with evaluation and feedback of Respiratory Care personnel.
9. Maintains awareness of current theoretical and technical developments in respiratory care; serves as an advisor and resource person; provides intensive technical support when needed.
10. Serves as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the workload as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
- Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to teach within the area of expertise
- Ability to work with providers, administrative and clinical staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives
