RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute recruitment strategies with hiring managers using local, regional, and national sourcing opportunities.
Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including requisition management, candidate sourcing, application screening, interviewing, and candidate coordination.
Maintain the Applicant Tracking System and ensure qualified candidates are efficiently advanced through the recruitment process.
Coordinate candidate interviews and related logistics, including travel, lodging, transportation, schedules, and informational materials.
Complete post-offer and pre-employment requirements, provide initial wage recommendations for approval, and notify department leadership when candidates are cleared for hire.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of one year of staffing or recruitment experience.
Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment practices, including sourcing, screening, candidate coordination, and vendor management.
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently within established policies and guidelines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with candidates, hiring managers, employees, community partners, and external agencies.
Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged sitting or standing, walking, stooping, basic manual dexterity, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
ENVIRONMENT
The South Peninsula Hospital is a combined 22-bed Acute Care Critical Access Hospital and 28-bed Long Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. This position is primarily performed in a professional office environment, with occasional travel between campus locations and career fairs with frequent interaction with candidates, employees, hiring managers, community partners, and external agencies. The role requires moderate mobility and the ability to communicate effectively while balancing periods of sitting and standing with walking and other routine office activities.
Job hazards are generally associated with routine office work and occasional travel between locations, including prolonged sitting or standing, walking, stooping, and occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds; all duties must be performed in accordance with organizational safety policies and procedures.
