Description:

The therapist provides individual, family and group counseling sessions. Therapist will also be a part of the Mental Health IOP (Intensive Patient Program) team, which includes leading a group therapy session and participation in weekly IOP team meetings. In conjunction with the treatment team, develops individualized treatment plans, monitors all clinical activities, makes recommendations for ongoing treatment along the continuum of care and develops guidelines for future treatment or discharge from the program. Ensures compliance with quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Experience with patients of all ages, and substance use is desirable.

Required Education, Experience and Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an LCSW or LPC and able to practice within the profession per state guidelines
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field required
  • At least 2 years of recent outpatient counseling experience required
  • Dual diagnosis and crisis intervention experience preferred
