As a Sterile Processing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting surgical services by managing inventory, coordinating purchasing activities, and ensuring the seamless flow of supplies between Sterile Processing, the Operating Room, and Supply Chain.
The Sterile Processing Coordinator performs a variety of administrative, inventory management, purchasing, and operational support functions within the Sterile Processing Department. This role serves as a key liaison between Sterile Processing, Perioperative Services, Supply Chain, and vendor partners to ensure the availability of critical surgical instruments, implants, and supplies that support exceptional patient care.
Coordinate inventory of surgical instruments, implants, and supplies within Sterile Processing.
Monitor stock levels, replenish inventory, and maintain departmental par levels.
Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Process special orders and assist with purchasing activities.
Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and visible damage.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Analyze inventory reports and support inventory control and quality assurance initiatives.
Develop and maintain effective inventory management practices and procedures.
Serve as a resource for supply-related questions and support departmental operations.
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience: 1 year relevant experience in purchasing/inventory management preferred.
Licensure: None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive).Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 25-50lbs. Working in environment with fumes, chemicals, vibrations, heat, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $21.52 - $39.55 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
