Job Description
The Non-Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technician I of the Clinical Neurophysiology Services Department reports to the EEG Coordinator. Under direct supervision of the EEG Coordinator or designee, the EEG Technician I records by means of electronic equipment neurophysiologic potentials for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases and conditions involving the nervous system.

Associate degree, bachelors degree or an active student in good standing in a CAAHEP accredited EEG program. Must obtain EEG Registry or CNIM within 2 years of board eligibility. Extensions of up to a year may be granted in certain circumstance's such as FMLA, pandemic, testing availability or at the discretion of the manager and the Clinical Neurophysiology Medical Director. If Registry is attempted and not passed, you must obtain within six months. Certification in Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
