Shift differentials (when eligible):

Evenings: +10%

Nights: +20%

Weekends: +15%


Responsibilities
  1. Unloads Instrumentation and Cart washers, dry and put away items as needed. Reports any suspected equipment malfunctions to Decontam Pod Leader & CSR Leaders.
  2. Operates all washers.
  3. Assists Sterile Reprocessing Technicians by restocking supplies, distributing supplies, folding towels, wrapping basins, clearing Decontam window, unloading Decontam elevator, replenishing racks, and breaking down case carts.
  4. Sends/ receives Trash Carts to/ from the OR when appropriate. Handle contaminated waste with proper care and handling techniques.
  5. Cleans and disinfects all soiled equipment returning from the ORs and satellite areas.
  6. Performs decontamination procedures following prescribed specifications
  7. Operates machinery in strict accordance with departmental procedures and manufacturer’s instructions
  8. Assists in the disassembly of instrumentation and processing following prescribed manufacturer guidelines.
  9. Attends and participates in in-services within the department, as well as educational programs.
  10. Perform other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications
  • High school graduate required.
  • Able to prioritize and work with constant interruptions required.
  • Good communication skills desired.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • The ability to be bonded at Hospital expense required.
