Lead - Radiation Therapist

Overview:

Lead Radiation Therapist, FT, Piedmont Columbus John B. Amos Cancer Center

Performing tumor localizations and administering ionizing radiation for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as prescribed by the supervising physician. Serving as mentor for newly hired and staff therapist, coordinating completion of weekly chart checks and organization of supplies and immobilization devices, maintaining patient treatment schedule, participating in quality improvement initiatives, assisting in the implementation of new technology.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Graduation from an ARRT-accredited radiation therapy program Required
  • Bachelors Degree Bachelors Degree Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years of experience as a radiation therapist Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • ASRT - Radiation Therapist Registration in radiation therapy with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon Hire Required and
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR certified Upon Hire Required
