Assists with patient care including obtaining and recording vital signs, maintaining patient documentation, and completing administrative duties. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and staff. Fields patient phone calls promptly and professionally. Engages in patient communication, education, and support as directed by the healthcare provider or provider team. Participates in maintaining the therapeutic setting of the clinical space. Ensures cleanliness, adequate stock of supplies and functioning equipment in patient care areas. Replaces supplies depleted on a daily basis. Cleans and prepares patient care areas, equipment and tools. Completes shift opening and closing procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, OSHA Rules and Regulations, environmental and infection control standards. Ensures compliance with local, internal, state, federal, and regulatory standards and compliance including quality assurance, safety, infection control, and environmental procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Role model the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience of direct patient care or community behavioral health experience or successful completion of Vail Health’s Behavioral Health Technician competencies required Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred

N/A Basic Life Support (BLS) required Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification from Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Therapeutic Options™ training preferred

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc High-school diploma or GED required.
