Work Shift

  • Days: Thursday and Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

  • Experience preferred, not required
  • Entry level position

Certifications

  • ARRT-R (Radiography)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Core Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment safely while maintaining diagnostic quality using ALARA principles
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control standards
  • Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and confirm two patient identifiers prior to exams
  • Explain procedures using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety
  • Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and age-appropriate care
  • Perform exams and administer contrast using proper venipuncture and sterile technique
  • Position patients correctly; apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated
  • Review images for diagnostic quality; repeat or correct as needed
  • Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS
  • Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as required
  • Organize daily workflow to meet expected timeframes
  • Support department operations, compliance, stocking, transport, and escalation to leadership
