Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Echocardiography Tech student is responsible for preparing the diagnostic room, gathering patient and case specific supplies and equipment per the Registered Echo tech instructions. They will operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to provide basic imaging studies under the direction of the Registered Echo tech according to established policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient and communicate with the patient in a manner appropriate to the patient’s level of understanding.

Licensing/Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Cardiovascular technology, Must be enrolled at the senior level in an accredited school of Echocardiography
