The Senior IR Technologist is a CRT/ARRT Technologist who maintains an ARRT sponsored VIR
Certification within 1 year of reclassification. This individual must also be certified and demonstrate
competency in performing injection procedures necessary for IR for a minimum of three – five
years.
This position requires the individual to be flexible in their work schedule, working Monday to Friday, covering nights and weekends and taking call when necessary.
The Senior IR Technologist advanced responsibilities can include, yet are not limited to the

This position is an advanced-level IR Tech. The ability to self-direct and to organize a varied workload is required. This incumbent demonstrates competency in assisting with VIR, Neuro Endovascular procedures
and Vascular Surgery procedures from newborn thru geriatric patient population.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3-6 years of IR experience.
Previous experience in healthcare environment required (minimum 3-5 years).
Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays. Must be willing to assist at any of the UCSF Medical Center Locations
Must be willing to learn and train in Neuro-IR and Body-IR
Must be willing to circulate and fill scrubbing roles during procedures as necessary
Ability to self direct and organize a varied workload
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
ARRT Licensure
CRT Licensure
BLS (CPR) Certification
VIR Certification within 1 year of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Prefer recent work experience in an acute care setting
Prefer VIR Certification or obtained within 1 year of hire
