Dartmouth Health is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic clinical Physicist to lead and manage all MRI-related physics operations across our institution and affiliated sites. This role requires deep expertise in magnetic resonance imaging, with responsibility for ensuring optimal performance, safety, compliance, and quality across all MRI systems.
In addition to MRI, the Physicist will contribute to broader clinical imaging physics activities across modalities such as CT, fluoroscopy, radiography, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine. While experience in these areas is preferred, MRI physics and multi-site MRI equipment management are required core competencies.
This position works in close collaboration with the Chief of Diagnostic Medical Physics and plays a key leadership role in accreditation compliance, equipment oversight, and imaging quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Our physicists are active in supporting the clinical mission of the Department and they participate in the physics education of students and trainees. Dartmouth sponsors a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Graduate Program which provides optional opportunities for teaching and research collaboration. We are also in the process of accrediting a diagnostic medical physics residency program hosted within the Department.
The physicist in this position will be expected to lend support to department research initiatives. An individual research program is not required but will be supported should there be interest.
Qualified candidates may receive an academic appointment from the Dartmouth College Geisel School of Medicine.
