Professionals in this field operate and maintain sophisticated lab equipment, ensure quality control, analyze test results, record data, and communicate findings to healthcare providers. Assumes responsibility for the performance of routine, standardized biological and/or biochemical tests, as well as more complex procedures on blood, urine, tissues, body fluids and other specimens that assist physicians in the diagnosis of clinical management of clinical management of patients. Assumes responsibility of recognizing results or problems that require referral to Supervisor, Manager and or Pathologist. Performs additional tasks as requested by Chairman of Pathology or his/her designee. Qualification Required: Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or sciences Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques, which would normally be obtained through a formal four-year college/university academic program Registry with a recognized board of registry for medical technology, such as American Society of Clinical Pathologists preferred.
