Job Overview:
The Clinician provides clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and outreach and service delivery coordination for children and adolescents within the context of the Children’s Crisis Intervention System (CCIS) and as a part of the staff of MMC Southern Campus Psychiatric Screening Services. The Clinician responds to the emotional needs of those children and adolescents requesting assistance. Evaluates Adults as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in social work, psychology or related clinical field
Certified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or immediate certification with six months of hire required
Two (2) years experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services

36 hours per week
Essential Functions:
Acts as a liaison between county screening agencies
Acts as a liaison to the county designated case management agency
Attends staff meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as indicated in the Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services policies and procedures
Brings all unusual situations, incidents or difficulties encountered to the provision of emergency services to the attention of the Director of Emergency Services or his/her designate
Monitors and issues collection of appropriate data relevant to the functioning of the child mental health system
Provides consultation to various community agencies within the county on relevant child mental health issues
Performs all other duties as assigned
