Records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. Reviews physician requisition orders and instructions concerning patient preparation for ultrasound procedure. May communicate to OB/GYN nursing team status of patient condition pre and post procedure. Performs ultrasound imaging for fetal diagnosis and anomaly detection for patients with high risk indications.

Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Work Experience: At least 2 years of modality specific experience required. Registration/Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the ARRT(S) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Skill Sets: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
