Responsibilities:JOB PURPOSE:
The Clinical Resource Surgical Technician helps to facilitate quality patient care by assisting the surgeon and staff before, during, and after surgery. Serves as a clinical specialist for designated service line, and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources (supplies, instrumentation, vendor resources, etc.) are available for each case. Will also serve as a liaison between surgeon and other parties as appropriate to secure resources in advance of surgery. Maintains surgeon preference cards and assists with onboarding activities for new surgeons
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED required. Associates or higher degree preferred. Graduate of a Surgical Technician program is preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Four (4) years of experience working as a Surgical Technician in an acute-care setting.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Surgical Technician certification is preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certification is required.
