What You’ll Do:
As an SLP-I, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with communication challenges by:
Conducting comprehensive assessments in speech, language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing.
Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans aligned with each student’s IEP.
Delivering services in diverse settings including pull-out, classroom, and co-teaching formats .
Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure educational benefit .
Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with MSDE, ASHA, and departmental standards .
Participating in team meetings, staff development, and community outreach .
What You Bring:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology .
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Maryland State Licensure (or eligibility).
Experience working with children with communication disorders.
Physical & Professional Requirements:
Ability to lift/carry students and adaptive equipment as needed.
Comfortable working in a school setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills .
