Manager, Speech and Language Pathologist (Outpatient: Baltimore Location)

Kennedy Krieger Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager, Speech-Language Pathology (Outpatient) to lead and oversee outpatient clinical services. This role combines clinical expertise, leadership, and program development to ensure high-quality care and operational excellence in our outpatient speech-language pathology services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Operations Management: Administer and manage outpatient speech-language pathology services, including staff scheduling, productivity tracking, and coordination with office staff to optimize clinic operations.

• Liaison & Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for outpatient speech-language pathology matters within the department and across other Institute programs and external organizations.

• Staffing & Supervision: Recruit, hire, and supervise certified speech-language pathologists, clinical fellows, and graduate students providing outpatient services.

• Quality Assurance & Program Development: Monitor service quality and contribute to the development of intra- and interdisciplinary clinical programs.

• Direct Patient Care: Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for speech/language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing needs, tailored to individual patient and family goals.

• Training & Education: Participate in team conferences, staff development, and interdisciplinary training programs.

• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain documentation in accordance with Institute standards and regulatory guidelines (e.g., The Joint Commission, CARF, ASHA).

• Professional Development: Maintain licensure/certification and participate in departmental and community outreach activities.

• Strategic Support: Assist department leadership in setting and achieving goals for professional growth and service excellence.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Current or elgible for licensure and certification (ASHA CCC-SLP)

• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including supervisory or management experience

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• Experience in outpatient clinical settings preferred.

• Experience or additional coursework in administration, supervision, or management preferred.
