Kennedy Krieger Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager, Speech-Language Pathology (Outpatient) to lead and oversee outpatient clinical services. This role combines clinical expertise, leadership, and program development to ensure high-quality care and operational excellence in our outpatient speech-language pathology services.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Operations Management: Administer and manage outpatient speech-language pathology services, including staff scheduling, productivity tracking, and coordination with office staff to optimize clinic operations.
Liaison & Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for outpatient speech-language pathology matters within the department and across other Institute programs and external organizations.
Staffing & Supervision: Recruit, hire, and supervise certified speech-language pathologists, clinical fellows, and graduate students providing outpatient services.
Quality Assurance & Program Development: Monitor service quality and contribute to the development of intra- and interdisciplinary clinical programs.
Direct Patient Care: Conduct evaluations and provide treatment for speech/language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing needs, tailored to individual patient and family goals.
Training & Education: Participate in team conferences, staff development, and interdisciplinary training programs.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain documentation in accordance with Institute standards and regulatory guidelines (e.g., The Joint Commission, CARF, ASHA).
Professional Development: Maintain licensure/certification and participate in departmental and community outreach activities.
Strategic Support: Assist department leadership in setting and achieving goals for professional growth and service excellence.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current or elgible for licensure and certification (ASHA CCC-SLP)
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including supervisory or management experience
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience in outpatient clinical settings preferred.
Experience or additional coursework in administration, supervision, or management preferred.
