Loan forgiveness and tuition reimbursement programs are available. RESPONSIBILITY Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with the Alaska Occupational Therapy Practice Act. Develop individualized therapy goals and plans in collaboration with patients and care teams. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to program development. Provide patient and family education to support ongoing care and recovery. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited university. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Alaska. Current CPR certification. Three or more years of clinical experience preferred, with a background across various settings (acute, LTC, outpatient). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation. Physical Requirements: Moderate physical demands including heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and assisting patients with mobility. ENVIRONMENT: The South Peninsula Hospital is a combined 22-bed Acute Care Critical Access Hospital and 28-bed Long Term Care facility located at the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula in South-Central Alaska. The Occupational Therapist works in a rural setting with diverse patient needs across multiple care environments. Opportunities for cross-training and professional development are encouraged.
