Summary:
The Recreation Services Assistant helps with planning and implementing recreation programs for residents on a daily basis that will carry out the objectives of the facility as part of holistic total care for each individual.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and administer a well-rounded social program, ensuring all activities conform to the criteria of federal, state, and local accreditation and licensing agencies or organizations
2. Provide individual activities, in-room sensory stimulation to sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
3. Compile a month social program calendar and distribute to residents, using community resources in the development of programs.
4. Write annual and quarterly notes on all residents and keep daily record of resident's participation.
5. Transport residents to and from activity dayroom.

Professional Experience Requirements:
● Prefer two years previous experience in a long-term care setting.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Strong customer service and social skills.
