Work Shift
Various (United States of America)Works collaboratively with the Diet Clerk. Cleans and stocks assembly area with appropriate foods and supplies. Assists
in quality monitors to assure excellence in patient food service. Responsible for the sanitation of food service operation
to include but not limited to ware washing in the dish/pot sink areas. Responsible for the transport of patient food cart
and sanitizing the carts. Must document in accordance to HACCP standards. Cross-train in other areas as assigned.
Uses, cares, and cleans all equipment in assigned area. Makes immediate decisions concerning the
following: sanitation, food quality, portion control. Identifies problems with tickets and equipment
maintenance in area of responsibility. Ensures proper rotation of patient food items and supplies in area of
responsibility.
Ensures workstation is clean, sanitized, properly stocked, and ready at specified meal service times.
Prepares and delivers floor stock and other cold food as requested by nursing units to the appropriate floor.
Properly dates, labels, and covers all foods to be stored in refrigerators or dry storage using the first in first
out rotation method. Maintains HACCP logs.
Capable of safely using all pieces of equipment including correct assembly, operation, cleaning, and
sanitation. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to administrative, departmental house rules,
policies, procedures, and objectives
Communicates with Patient Services Manager and staff, Food Production Managers and staff,
sanitation/transport staff, and administrative staff in an effective and pleasant manner.
High School Diploma or GED
1 years or more of experience in food services.
