Summary
Consistently provides excellent customer service. Possesses the ability to work accurately and quickly performing a variety of duties within the laboratory as required by his/her specific work assignment. Communicates clearly and effectively to co-workers and physicians. Assures that the immunotherapy prescription is entered correctly; and order entry and/or vials are prepared accurately and quickly, following all identification and labeling policies, and utilizing appropriate technique. Utilizes critical thinking to identify general problems and resolves or directs those problems to the appropriate individual. Inventories, orders and stocks supplies. Maintains department equipment, utilizes department computer systems, and documents information, as needed. Follows all laboratory policies and procedures. Follows US 797 guidelines.
Education
Must be a high graduate or the equivalent with a GED.
Licensure/Certification

Experience
Previous specimen processing experience preferred. Background or schooling in medical assistant, pharm tech, or pre-med, pre-nursing programs preferred.
Other Qualifications
Knowledge of computer / keyboarding experience preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must meet all training requirements during the first six months. Must have visual acuity and color discrimination.
