The CVOR CSFA works as a First Assist to Cardiovascular Surgeons. Some common procedures that the CSFA will first assist on are coronary artery bypass, aortic valve replacement and mitral valve surgery. 250 open heart cases a year. The CSFA will autonomously harvest vein for CVOR and vascular cases. Other job duties include assisting with all CTV cases.
