Description The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist, under the direction of the Department Director and Manager is expected to work independently performing a variety of echocardiography procedures for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders. The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist will independently perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) on adult, children and neonatal patients and prepare a preliminary echo report for review by the interpreting Physician or LIP. Stress echocardiograms, both pharmacologic and exercise, will be performed by the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist with the assistance of a qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner, Cardiologist or other Licensed Independent Practitioner specialized in Cardiology.
