Summary
The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in providing professional pharmacy services to the patients and staff of Cook Children's Medical Center and the community we serve. Clerical tasks will encompass answering phones, recording, filing, and reporting pharmacy activities and services. The technical tasks will be performed after experience is gained, and necessary skills and competency demonstrated. Documentation of training must be on file prior to working independently. All tasks will be performed under the direct supervision of an experienced pharmacist. Must be competent in the following pharmacy production areas: Central PO area, compounding, narcotics transactions, Omnicell refills and compliance audits.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or Equivalent is required
Must have either 1 year of hands on IV preparation experience or 1 year of working experience in the Cook Children's pharmacy
Current PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification is required...
