DescriptionProvide patient care, technical support, and light administrative duties for an ophthalmology group practice. Obtain medical histories from patients with standard and rare medical disorders. Patient care duties include but not limited to recording chief complaint, patient ocular history, obtaining visual acuity, autorefractometry, lensometry, tonometry, pupillary defect evaluation, confrontational field testing, OCTs, OCTAs, administration of eye drops for pupil dilation, topical anesthesia, and assisting with minor procedures. Ordering supplies and medications for clinical use. Assistance with administrative duties including; clinic preparation, appointment scheduling, answering phones, faxing of RX refill authorizations.
Pay Range: $32.06 - 42.29
QualificationsRequired:
Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terminology anatomy, physiology as well as disease of the eye and systemic disease that affect the eye.
