Operates radiographic and other related equipment and assists physicians as necessary to complete diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures for patients of all ages. In addition to General Radiology, staff may perform exams in one of the following imaging modalities; CT, Diagnostic Ultrasound, DEXA, MRI, or Mammography. Coordinates patient flow and responsible for producing quality images efficiently and safely.
REQUIRES: Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program. Graduate from an accredited program or similar on the job training in one of the following modalities: CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, MRI, DEXA or student coordinator. Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support certification. Achievment of advanced certification in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography (CT and DEXA certifications must be achieved no later than 4/30/2020).
