Description
Interventional Imaging Specialist - Radiology
Under general supervision, the interventional imaging specialist assists Radiologists, cardiologists and vascular surgeons in the performance of interventional, angiographic, and therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients by imaging, or scrub assisting for these physicians while maintaining a safe quality patient environment. Also operates conventional, fluoroscopic or portable radiology equipment to obtain radiographs according to physician specifications.
Age-Related Competencies: Neonate (birth–28 days), Infant (28 days–1 year), Child (1-12 years), Adolescent (13-18 years), Adult (18-64 years), Geriatrics (65 years–death).
