Shift and FTE available: Day, 0.01 FTE Day, 0.6 FTE Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist(RDN) in collaboration with other health care team members, plans and provides medical nutrition therapy to patients. This includes nutritional assessment, development of therapeutic plan, nutrition education and monitoring of patients response to medical nutrition therapy. The RD must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned units. Assists in the management of PIPS' nutritional resources. Responsible for decisions and judgments affecting patients total nutrition care. Facilitates improvement in patient's nutrition status to reduce complications and lower the risk of harm to the patient. Assists the pharmacists in managing the TPN patients.
