Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the clinical/outreach athletic trainer is to be an active part of a community-wide Sports Medicine Program. This position will provide day-today athletic training services for a local high school athletic program as well as spend 2-3 days per week in the clinical setting. The clinical/outreach athletic trainer provides athletic training services on an ongoing basis. The Athletic Trainer has the added responsibility of working daily in the athletic training room of a local school with which the clinic has a current contract for medical coverage. The certified athletic trainer is charged with managing the health care of participating athletes. This includes, but is not limited to, first aid/emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, appropriate modalities, prevention and rehabilitation programs and medical referrals.
