This 24-bed unit provides intermediate level care to patients with cardiac conditions and multiple complex co-morbidities. This includes patients that have undergone pre-post cardiac and vascular interventions, heart attacks, r/o heart attacks, heart failure, and dysrhythmias needing treatment or monitoring, and medical patients with a strong cardiac history. The staff on this unit serves adult and geriatric patients. The technician will provide constant, real time video and cardiac rhythm monitoring on patients that has been identified as requiring these types of medical surveillance.
