Department Employee Pharmacy Job Summary The Community Pharmacy Technician II supports all aspects of the prescription preparation process including compounding, preparation, and dispensing. This also includes greeting the patient, collecting information, entering patient data, processing claims, and referring inquires that are out of the scope of the PDT’s license to a supervising pharmacist. The Community Pharmacy Technician II assists in maintaining pharmaceutical inventory and supplies through ordering, receiving, stocking and record keeping. Community Pharmacy technicians work under the direction supervision of registered pharmacists. Pharmacy technicians do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Department Pharmacy Job Summary Responsible for the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a patient focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety. Directly supervises technical staff. Assignments to be determined based on the specific training and skill set (i.e. unit-based/patient care; satellite services) of an individual employee. Orients and trains pharmacists, technicians, residents, interns and students as assigned. Required Qualifications - Require active Florida Pharmacy license.
