The UNC Health REX Cardiac Procedural/ Cardiac Medicine Intermediate Care Unit is located on the 8th floor of the Heart and Vascular Hospital. This 24-bed unit provides intermediate level care to patients with cardiac conditions and multiple complex co-morbidities. This includes patients that have undergone pre-post cardiac and vascular interventions, heart attacks, r/o heart attacks, heart failure, and dysrhythmias needing treatment or monitoring, and medical patients with a strong cardiac history. The staff on this unit serves adult and geriatric patients.
