49942218 The Support Services Technician provides the nursing departments with necessary resources as needed from appropriate hospital departments to insure quality patient care, including but not limited to medical records, central supply, equipment etc. Performs basic nursing skills as needed following established policies and procedures of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center under the direction of the unit designee, including but not limited to assisting the nursing staff with admission and discharge of patients, assisting with patient hygiene, collection, labeling and transportation of specimens.Obtains and transports medications to the nursing units as required.Provides patient transports as required.
