The Vascular Technologist is responsible for the performance of vascular studies to include: Carotid duplex, Aorta duplex, Vein mapping, Venous duplex, Arterial physiology studies, Arterial duplex, Renal/SMA arterial duplex, Arterial By-Pass grafts, Dialysis Access grafts, pre-op dialysis access evaluations, venous insufficiency exams, and ABI's. The Vascular Technologist is required to deliver services to infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in all areas of the hospital, within the laboratory setting, and in the physician office setting.
