Description The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates the patient's condition and develops appropriate therapeutic programs to assist in the patient's recovery and treatment of the condition. Providence Valdez Medical Center (PVMC) consists of two departments, the Critical Access Hospital which is licensed for 11 beds and the Extended Care Center that is licensed for 10 beds. This department is responsible for providing rehabilitation services to the community and the long term care residents. The Physical Therapist coordinates the care of patients and gives directions to the P.T. Assistants and Rehab Aides and consults and communicates with the physician and DPCS.
