Summary: The pharmacy technician performs a variety of technical and clerical assignments under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assignments involve unit dose distribution, IV preparation, floor stock maintenance, charging, inventory control and record keeping. Responsibilities: The pharmacy technician, under pharmacist supervision, provides nursing and ancillary staff with medications for distribution and administration to patients while performing other clerical duties relating to patient charges and record keeping.
