Summary: The Medication History Technician is responsible for interviewing patients to obtain a medication history of patients admitted to Pardee Hospital. The technician will also be responsible to make use of available resources to verify the accuracy of a medication list. Responsibilities: • Conducts an appropriate and respectful interview of the patient (or family member if necessary), contacting outside healthcare providers and pharmacies when necessary to clarify/verify patient reported lists, and documents communications in the EMR. • Accurately records current medications (prescription and OTC), supplements, vitamins, vaccines, and herbal remedies in the EMR.
