Department OT_OP MAIN Job Summary Our multidisciplinary outpatient clinic is located at SMH-Sarasota campus. We consistently have high patient experience scores and opportunities to treat muscoskeletal and neuro patients 1:1. (CEU credit assistance available) The OT is responsible for utilizing purposeful activities or interventions to achieve functional outcomes, maximizing the independence and maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or a learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition. The OT also assumes the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient’s treatment program, and implementing/directing the program.
