Job Description Summary Under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist, the certified occupational therapy assistant administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures to patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments, as prescribed by a referring practitioner, providing care in congruence of the goals established by the occupational therapist, and re-assesses patient’s progress at regular, timely intervals, and supporting findings with appropriate documentation. Job Description Summary The Occupational Therapist II develops, supervises and provides optimal patient care services as referred by physician for Occupational Therapy, based on population-specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family directed approach. Supervises volunteers, Occupational Therapy Aides, and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Under the general supervision of a lead Occupational Therapist III or Manager, acts as a mentor and expert in specific clinical area. Provides clinical education experiences for OT and OTA students. Participates in professional development and shares clinical knowledge and expertise with others. The Occupational Therapist II works in both Out-Patient and In-Patient services, all units throughout the hospital based on the referrals received and assigned caseload.
