Description: The Clinical Nurse Educator – Ambulatory is responsible for coordinating, planning, executing, evaluating and providing education activities and orientation programs to clinical staff in the ambulatory care setting. In collaboration with the Ambulatory Clinical Education and Quality Manager, and AMG leadership, the Clinical Educator monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes. The primary focus of this position is the advancement of expert clinical practice in the ambulatory setting. Serves as liaison and facilitator for clinical programs (CMA, LPN, etc.), in collaboration with community partners and schools. Serves as a resource to leadership, staff and preceptors in the areas of clinical process, clinical knowledge and skills. Updates and facilitates clinical competencies, policies and procedures, and supports special projects as assigned.
