Description Job Summary The Cath Lab/Interventional Radiologic Technologist prepares and operates imaging equipment used in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures, administers contrast, assists the physician with all procedures, monitors the patient, and collects data for physician and/or RN assessment. Job Responsibilities Prepare equipment for Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology procedures performed in the Cath Lab. Accurately adjust equipment for proper exposure in accordance with radiation safety. Monitor the operation of Radiographic equipment during procedures and assist with quality control and maintenance of department equipment. Provide patients with education and explanation or X-ray procedures that will be performed.
